Elders of the Church

 John Myer is a native of Louisiana who moved to Ohio back in the mid-eighties (his accent has yet to completely disappear). He has crisscrossed the globe on ministry adventures from Africa to the Far East and has been involved in everything from church leadership, church planting, and conference preaching to campus work and long-term ministry training events. Now John brings his experience to bear in planting and leading Grandview Christian Assembly. He has been married for 27 years to Aleisha, who also hails from his tiny Louisiana hometown and perfectly understands his occasional use of “ya’ll” and his infrequent craving for a bowl of gumbo. John and Aleisha have a daughter, Elizabeth, who is a nurse.  

 

 

Jeff Friess has been involved in full-time ministry, co-founding Oasis Christian Community on the Ohio State University campus and regularly speaking at regional youth events. Now he provides leadership in assistant pastoral duties and Finance at Grandview Christian Assembly. Jeff is married to Natalie and has two young kids, Bella and Joey. He also has a BS in Human Resource Management and likes to play basketball as the self-proclaimed “Shaq Diesel of the Midwest.”

 
 

 Seth Evans has been serving in full time ministry at the Ohio State University since 2003.  He helped co-found Oasis Christian Community and helped plant Grandview Christian Assembly.  He has spoken regularly at regional youth events and has led mission trips to Africa and Central America.  Seth now oversees the campus operations and staff of Oasis.  In June 2010, he married Rebecca, a high school English teacher.  Seth has a BS in Mechanical Engineering and is currently seeking a Masters in Christian Counseling.  His passion for a good cup of black coffee has him known by name in the local coffee shop.
